Online Porn Viewing

Teens online pornography viewing habits and addiction has been declared an epidemic. The average age at which a child first encounters online pornography in North  America is age 10. The younger the age of exposure, the greater the chances of porn viewing becoming problematic and addictive in the future. Problematic pornography viewing is associated with poor quality of life, depression and anxiety symptoms (Kumar, 2021).

Currently, 35% of all websites carry porn related content. Most kid’s first contact with online porn, was not intentional but accidental. Sadly, the first encounter usually triggers subsequent searches. Porn viewing habit escalates, if not stopped. And this is widely due to the way in which the human brain naturally reacts to it.
